Day 1320: Golf. Hockey. Life. Hack.
Last week we covered a lot of ground, including how, when you don’t know where you’re going, everything looks like an opportunity, as well as what happened when Dave’s girlfriend got mad at the GPS and told it to go to hell.
Speaking of it going straight to her sister’s place…
I was texting with Dave last night and here’s how it went:
Me: What are you doing?
Dangerous Dave: Just slipped away and came to that fancy new hotel restaurant with the great steak. It’s packed.
Me: Cool, with who?
Dangerous Dave: I’m by myself and it’s a bit awkward right now.
Me: Why?
Dangerous Dave: I ordered lemon and squeezed it into my beer, and it just squirted me straight in the eye.
Me: And?
Dangerous Dave: It looks like I’m at the table by myself right now crying. A number of people looking my way.

… play 18 holes of golf with them.
Doesn’t matter if they’re good, bad, talented or a natural…. It’s that they act the same on the course as they do in life.
Competitive, impatient, cheat, driven, in a hurry, lollygag, drink beer and tee off the beer cans on hole 18 (I don’t know anyone that has done this in case you’re asking), perfectionist, pissed off all the time, cry baby, happy-go-lucky etc…
Weird but the way you play golf is the way you play life.
Guys I played hockey with when we were kids…
… their life reflects the way they played hockey.
Life hack:
Change the way you play golf (any activity)… change the way you live life.
Stated otherwise:
Change the way you do little things…. It’ll change the way you do BIG things.
