As you read this today, think of Warren Buffett’s two investing rules.

1) Don’t lose money.

2) See rule number one.

Not exciting but wildly effective.

I saw a 3-minute business video with this advice:

1) If you’re not growing, you’re dying

2) The higher the risk, the higher the reward

This is advice from a total amateur.

Here are two alternative ways to look at these:

1) Avoiding costly mistakes is often as important as forward momentum. The greatest football coaches punt 90% of the time on 4th and 1 for a reason.

2) The higher the risk… the HIGHER THE RISK. Look for small risks with large upside potential.

Not the same DOPamine hit but ten times better guidance.

*A real mentor can tell you what not to do.
