My Drunk Aunt got an old TV on eBay. Here’s our conversation while I set it up for her:
Me: It’s a little old school, but you’re ready to go.
Drunk Aunt: *reading TV instruction manual* Thx. It’s a shame nothing is made in America anymore.
Me: What do you mean?
My Drunk Aunt: Look, this TV says ‘Built in Antenna.’ I don’t even know where that is.

I often take ten kids to the park, it’s a blast for me.
What one of the parents says he’ll do for his daughter:
1. Step in front of a bus.
2. Take a bu11et.
What the same parent has demonstrated he will not do for his daughter:
1. Watch her ride her bike.
2. Practice softball so she can get better and not be the weakest player on the team.
Gives me very little confidence in the whole bus / bu11et thing in the event it’s required.
*Genuinely no judgment, but guessing you recognize this dynamic in this and other examples.
