Dave’s Dad hired a local kid to paint his porch and here’s how it went:

Local Kid: *approaches Dave’s Dad* I’m trying to earn some money. Do you have any odd jobs I can do?

Dave’s Dad: Tell ya what… here’s some paint I just bought. *pointing* See my porch over there near the driveway… go paint my porch and come back when you’re done, and I’ll pay you.

Local Kid: *ecstatic* OK great, I can do that, thank you so much!

Dave’s Dad: *falls asleep in his chair*

Local Kid: *knocks on door — paint all over him* I’m done.

Dave’s Dad: Did you do a good job?

Local Kid: Think so. BTW, that’s a BMW, not a porch.
