Day 1168: Studying. Versus. Training.

Last week we covered a lot of ground including how I get called a lot of things but my favorite is ‘Dad’ as well as what Bill said when I asked how he’s coping since his wife left for milk three months ago.
Speaking of going OK but he’s had to resort to using some of the powered stuff…
My Drunk Aunt told us she’s going off FB.
Me: Why?
My Drunk Aunt: I have a bunch of drug dealers on there.
Me: Why do you say that?
My Drunk Aunt: They’re forever asking if I want the red or the blue pill.

In other news…
In the last 25 years there have been over 200,000 bushfires in California… clear the brush with all that tax money.

‘Studying VS Training’
Studying:
Studying is when you’re reading a book, watching a YouTube video, attending a seminar or listening to an recitational podcast.
My opinion is that you should limit the number of new ideas you take via studying or you can freeze yourself in a place of uncertainty and non-action.
Too many ideas can leave you and your clients not sure what to do next and feelings of anxiety.
Training:
Training is doing the same thing OVER AND OVER AND OVER again.
Like a professional baseball player making 20 million per year fielding grounders for hours on end and being reminded to keep his eye on the ball.
A professional football player making 20 million per year playing catch for hours and being reminded to keep his eye on the ball.
You know you’re TRAINING when it becomes auto-pilot.
I practiced my new Masterclass on small business profitability over 50 times and will continue to tweak, refine and train.
Your clients need a LEADER not a cheerleader.
