Day 1201: Strategy. Tactics. Breakfast.

Yesterday I sent you an email and forgot to sign my name cause I was drugged up after my hernia surgery (5th time, same hernia!) as well as how Dave told his Girlfriend that he thinks The Owl People already live amongst us.

Speaking of him getting startled with her answer of Who…

My Drunk Aunt got thrown out of a party over the weekend and here is how it went:

Wifey: What happened at the party?

My Drunk Aunt: Dave started a game of ‘dares.’

Wifey: And…?

My Drunk Aunt: Nobody expects you to throw 10 blocks of Top Ramen in their jacuzzi. Nobody.

Your one PROFIT ACCELERATION THING today is:

‘Tactical’

When coaching a small business client…

… your goal should always be to pay your way.

Anyone worth their salt can tell you ‘strategy’ will eat ‘tactics’ for breakfast.

If you want to be THE BEST you need to understand strategy and be able to deploy.

For you and for your clients.

1. Strategy

2. Tactics

3. Application

But what they don’t tell you is today‘s magic and that’s at the START of a coaching relationship your best off to create some quick wins.

1. Clients.

2. Money.

3. Results.

Therefore, at the start (first 60 – 90 days) of the coaching relationship I would normally go super ‘tactical’ to get runs on the board… show my worth.

Examples.

Go through their credit card statements to find quick easy wins (money!).

Create an upsell “do you want me to supersize that?” or cross sell “do you want fries with that?” type offer.

Raise their prices (they likely haven’t in more than a year).

Create an immediate event or sale.

Analyze their client base and work out the 20% of their clients that spend 80% of the money. Pick up the phone, send emails, messages to say thank you and make an offer for being a VIP.

Too many more to mention but hopefully you get the idea.

Against broader advice… go tactical early and get some wins.

Then take a step backward to go two forward in strategy.

You heard it here first.

Now, pick up the phone and go help someone.
