So, the feedback is that you want to hear more on the magic and importance of Intellectual Property (IP).

A company’s IP basically lives in three primary domains.

A. Intellectual Capital

B. Accounting

C. Human resources

Here I’ll list four primary functions of IP:

1) Packaged Intelligence

A Book or a Training Program would be elementary examples.

2) Knowledge that can be converted into profits

Example: Having a cashflow problem and understanding that collecting your ‘accounts receivable’ (creation of a system to do so) rather than ‘running FB ads’ can be significantly more effective.

Or understanding that offering a 10% discount means your high-end coaching clients need to SELL 33% more to breakeven.

1. Brands and Trademarks

The Nike Swoosh being placed on a soccer ball and increasing sales.

Same as when the New York Yankees, Dallas Cowboys, Manchester United logos are placed on a t-shirt, baseball hat, track pants etc…

2. Processes.

Example: McDonald’s licensing the right to place Disney figures in the Happy Meal.

I’d encourage you to explore these examples with your high-end coaching clients and help them understand and profit from their intellectual property.

The unidentified profits can be incredible.
