Day 1284: The. Secret. Movie.
Last week we covered a lot of ground, including how, rather than telling people your dreams, show them, as well as how Dave says a hippo can run faster than him on land, and swim faster than him in water.
Speaking of his only chance of beating the hippo in a triathlon is the bicycle…
My Drunk Aunt is having issues with her new boyfriend and here’s our conversation:
Me: How is it going with new beau?
My Drunk Aunt: I broke up with him last night….
Me: What did you say?
My Drunk Aunt: Told him it was time to take this relationship to the previous level.

‘Avoiding the Secret’
I found myself accidently watching the personal development cult movie ‘The Secret’.
… It’s a cute thought but a ridiculous message that makes good, honest, people susceptible to a life of failure and falling for get-rich quick stuff.
If “The Secret” was the ‘secret’, then the guys that created the movie would have sat in their living rooms thinking SUPER positively about the movie becoming a monster hit.
That’s not what happened.
They were riding planes, trains and automobiles going from city to city and stage to stage pumping the tires of the movie.
Working their backsides off while promoting the hell out of it along with the message of “The Law of Attraction”.
What’s the problem?
The movie didn’t mention ‘action’…
It should be called “The law of ACTION” rather than “The Law of Attraction”.
That’s a boatload closer to the ‘secret’ if there actually was one.
Which, there’s not.
When my daughter was born, I was scared CRAPLESS something was going to go wrong.
Not sure why… I just was.
If my thoughts had ANY control over the outcome, she was coming out with all kinds of rare and strange-looking physical disorders.
Thank goodness the law of attraction doesn’t work.
Positive mood if ==s far better than a negative mood… but just do the work, take the next action.
