Day 1317: Rats. Holocaust. Harvard.
Yesterday, I was explaining how communication is only 7% verbal and how to attract clients, as well as how the therapist told My Drunk Aunt she had anger issues, so she needed to write a letter to each of the people who have wronged her and then throw them in the fire.
Speaking of her asking the therapist, so what should I do with the letters…
My Drunk Aunt, Dave and Wifey were having a chat and here’s how it ended:
Wifey: You two are so different… I want to hear how you both describe love.
My Drunk Aunt: *giddy, blushing, clutching sleeves of her sweater* Being kissed while you’re asleep is one of the purest forms of love.
Dangerous Dave: Well, unless you’re in prison.
My Drunk Aunt:
Wifey: Let’s try again… give me your dream couple. Two famous people who are not together who you’d like to see together.
My Drunk Aunt: Easy. Nicki Minaj and Eminem.
Wifey: Why?
My Drunk Aunt: Imagine how fast they’d argue.
Wifey:
Dangerous Dave: Kanye West and Taylor Swift.
Wifey: Why?
Dangerous Dave: Imagine the drama over who gets the last word.

‘Drowning Rats’
A Harvard study dropped rats in a glass of water measuring how long they could tread water before drowning.
On average, it was 15 minutes before they gave up…
… before going under, they were saved, dried off and then placed back in the glass to tread water again.
Note: they’re pretty exhausted when they go back in for round two.
Question for you…
They lasted 15 minutes the first time. How long do you think they lasted the second time treading water?
15 minutes, 10 minutes, 5 minutes, 2 minutes..?
Answer…
45 hours!

Why and how..?
The Harvard researchers concluded the rats BELIEVED they’d be rescued… so they could push their bodies to an insane level.
A similar example to this is people that survived the Holocaust would talk of the torment, hunger, starvation, death of their friends and ridiculously inhumane conditions…
Interestingly, they said the WORST PART wasn’t the horrific conditions… it was not knowing when or if it would end.
Possibly a little morbid.
