Yesterday I was explaining how I felt like I had a concussion after 41 crazy roller-coaster rides with my daughter as well as how 12-year-old Dick got caught cheating in school the hard way without AI.

Speaking of Dave saying cheating for him required a level of effort that he ended up learning something by default…

Our cute 7-year-old nephew was over last night, and Dave wanted to give him some important life advice… here’s how it went:

Cute Nephew: So you treat women differently?

Dangerous Dave: Yes, women in your life should be cherished and made to feel special. The best way to talk to a woman is to get her to talk about herself… or tell her something you really, really, like about her.

Cute Nephew: Thx Uncle Dave… I can do that.

*Auntie walks in the room*

Cute Nephew: Hi Auntie…

My Drunk Aunt: Well, hullo there lil buddy.

Cute Nephew: I like the way the skin on the back of your arms is kind of loose and flappy.

My Drunk Aunt:

Once you answer that question, I know an insane amount about you.

In his / her story.

The ability to show up powerfully and tell ‘your story’ is the secret sauce of the highest paid coaches in the world.

Question: Does anyone actually care about your story?

Answer: Yes.

Well, the people that will pay you your high-end coaching fees and refer their friends, do.

Just like your favorite blockbuster movie… your story is what inspires them, separates you… and makes you interesting.

Like Velcro connecting people to you.

BUT….

Here’s the kicker most coaches totally swing and miss on…

‘Your story can’t be about you.’

KB, what do you mean?

They need to find themselves in your story.

It comes through you, but it’s not about you.

Read that again.

Said differently…

When you tell your story they either think:

“Me too”

or

“Who cares”

Now go practice delivering your story in a universal way.

Now, pick up the phone and go help someone.
