Last week we covered a lot of ground, including how they don’t need my software… they need more courage, but my software provides their ‘courage’ as well as how Dave said the Jacksonville Jaguars are called the “Jags” and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are called the “Bucs.”

Speaking of him, wondering what we should be calling the Tennessee Titans…

My Drunk Aunt was at the therapist and here’s how it went:

Therapist: How are you doing?

My Drunk Aunt: I’m terrified of Vertical Axis.

Therapist: Why?

My Drunk Aunt: *screams*

The Blue Jays lost the world series in a heartbreaker.

They had a pinch runner (fast) on third in the ninth, and he slid on a forced play and was out by a hair.

If he doesn’t slide and just runs through, I’d say he easily makes it, and the Blue Jays win the World Series.

Lots and lots of other chances for both sides to seal it.

Life’s a game of millimeters.

I love the Blue Jays, but Magic Johnson’s Dodgers won the World Series and many experts said it was the best series they’d ever seen.

Made me think of this:

When Magic played for the LA Lakers, he took all the front row season ticket holders for lunch.

He’s a billionaire today.

Networking is a lame way of saying ‘Cheat Code for Your Success’

Networking will help you:

– Find ‘next level’ people

– Learn

– Grow

– Think bigger

– Expand what’s possible

– Reach your next level

Here’s two words to guarantee you’ll royally suck at networking:

‘Be Boring’

A scientific study shows that people don’t want to spend time with boring people… and when they do, they require compensation.

No joke.

KB, how ‘do I not be boring,’ you ask?

Powerful and creative high level networking tips:

– Provide interesting unknown facts

– Use the frame ‘what can I GIVE’ versus ‘what can I get?’

– Be genuinely curious

– Be genuinely interested

– Be interesting and entertaining (don’t over do it)

– Tell great stories

– Ask interesting questions

– Be Santa rather than the Grinch

– Be different

– Talk about your hobbies / interests / passions

– Get them to talk about their hobbies / interests / passions

– Talk about popular current events in an interesting way

Like a politician…

… what you say and ask can all be planned out.

Plan and practice before you go.

Importantly, go where high-level business people are.

That’s probably not BNI.

I got asked about becoming and staying wealthy on my podcast this week.

I’d imagine my point of view is well outside the scope of what you’d read on FB or in popular books on the subject…
