Day 1343: Letter. Younger. Self.
Yesterday, I was explaining how when you drive traffic online you get less opt-ins but a higher quality prospect when you talk in principle, as well as what My Drunk Aunt said when I asked her about AI.
Speaking of how the cool thing about AI is, if the bubble bursts we will go into the biggest recession of our lifetime and, if it succeeds, it will take all our jobs and funnel all the money to 5 guys…
I was chatting to Dave and here’s how the conversation went:
DD: I saw a sign today that made me piss myself.
Me: What was it?
DD: Toilets closed.

‘Letter to My Younger Self’
On my podcast I was asked about advice I’d give my younger self.
Here are some of the highlights of a letter penned to young KB:
– If your inner child is alive and well… you’ve won.
– There’s a time to be nice and there is a time to say, I’ve had enough of your bullsh*t.
– Motivation is great, but a successful life is about avoiding, stupid. Wrong life partner, wrong business, wrong friends, wrong mentor, wrong intentions, wrong actions, wrong place, wrong habits etc…
– Presence slows down time.
– Fall in love with learning… specifically history and psychology.
– Don’t work towards an easy life… work towards nothing bothering you. *Temperament
– You are what you think about.
– Real success in anything takes 5 years.
– Be strict with yourself but forgiving of others.
– The secret to an apology is to be sincere, specific and quick.
– Things are easy to start and hard to finish.
– You’ll be remembered for what you REFUSE to give up on.
– Don’t work to be liked… work to be RESPECTED.
– Seek out a great mentor and be a great student.
– It’s not what you earn… it’s what you LEARN.
– People who love you care about how they make you feel.
– To people who care about you, ‘love equals time.’
– Confidence combined with humility is a Superpower.
– At your funeral they will not talk about your accomplishments… they will talk about what kind of person you were in the process of achieving those accomplishments.
– Protect your downside.
– Needing nothing attracts everything.
– True wealth comes from things you can’t buy with money.
– Financial wealth is monthly passive income above monthly burn.
– Decide what you want and work backwards from there.
You heard it here first.
There’s a time to be nice and there is a time to say, “I’ve had enough of your bullshit.”
Now, pick up the phone and go help someone.
