Dave and his girlfriend came over, and we were all helping solve a crossword puzzle.
Here’s how it went:
Us: What’s the next word?
Dave’s Girlfriend: The word is eight letters long and starts with M.
Us: What’s the clue?
Dave’s Girlfriend: The clue is ‘tiresome sameness’.
Dangerous Dave: Monogamy..?
Us:
Dave’s Girlfriend:
Me: *can’t stop laughing*

’10 Random Hockey Thoughts.’
I realize I’m a little late to the party commenting on the Gold Medal hockey game in the Olympics…
… Truthfully, that was a BRUTAL loss for any Canadian hockey fan, so I kinda just looked the other way for a few days.
Was an AMAZING game and hats off to the American team on a totally epic victory.
Here are ten thoughts:
- Winners win tournaments and losers lose tournaments.
*Canucks missed some wide-open nets, and you need to pick up a man on that last play where Jack Hughes scored. Stats on missed chances, unforced errors, fumbles, turnovers and penalties will tell you who won the championship without seeing the scoreboard.
- It felt like something larger at play… if you watched the movie ‘Miracle’ about the 1980 Miracle on Ice team… the last player scratched from the team was… Jack Hughes. WILD!!
- When you sit with legit Warriors… the conversation is different.
- Pros get paid to practice.
- You’re not tired because you’ve done too much… you’re tired because you didn’t do enough of what sparks a light in you.
- Your circle is supposed to be proud of you, not jealous of you.
- You can’t see your dreams if you’re tuned into everyone else’s.
- It’s not who you are, where you are, what you have or what you’re doing that creates happiness. It’s what you think about.
- Your respect comes after your work… not before.
- You have all the weapons you need. Now fight!
Bonus thought: If you want to accomplish a monumental task… you’ll need to give up some control.
Double Bonus thought: You can’t train soft and expect to play hard.
