"I created Profit Acceleration Software™ so you can BOOST bottom-line profits using the power of compounding growth without spending more on marketing."- Karl Bryan
Kroc, Sanders, Disney and What I Refuse To Give Up On
“They quit paying me after 3 months because they didn’t want to do anything and just want me to do it for them.”
Ever heard this and get frustrated by it?
Keep reading for some late-night rambles and the most powerful question you’ll hear in the next ten years. In the last couple posts, I’ve touched on some touchy subject matter (Colin Kapernick cough cough)…
Been interesting receiving advice on what I should and should not do… topics I should and should not talk about. Reality is I’ll just keep doing what I want.
My higher purpose is helping and guiding the business coaching industry and that’s what I’ll keep pounding away on. Good, bad and indifferent. I’m not going to be remembered for what I do nor what I’m doing, Certainly not for an posts.
I’ll be remembered for:
What I refuse to give up on.
And you’ll be remembered for what you refuse to give up on.
Problem is most business coaches give up too damn easily.
On their clients. On their events. On their marketing. On their follow up. Ultimately… on themselves.
Makes me cringe frankly.
A business coach does a live event and reports back on whether it worked or not. Like as though that’ll be what determines whether they do a second event?! Do ten live events and get the damn training wheels off you lightweight.
It’s like mailing 10 letters and deciding if you’ll send another ten? Please…
An extreme example is 2008 which was horrific (I got punched squarely in the face) … The people that refused to give up rebuilt stronger than ever.
Grant Cardone got hammered… almost went bankrupt… is now worth 500 million and says he owes it all to the education he received due to 2008. He ran a business event recently with 40,000 people. Had to do it in a football stadium to fit everyone!
I talk to people all the time that are consumed by 2008 eleven years later. They let their psychology get the better of them and they gave up.
Here’s maybe some better news on a closely related subject.
You can fail and get it wrong over and over again but if you get it right just once…
As in ‘refuse to give up.’ You can go down as a legend.
Let me repeat that for dramatic effect… ONCE.
Let me prove it
The List
Walt Disney went bankrupt due to a business he started called “Laugh a gram.” Then got fired ’cause he “lacked imagination and had no original ideas.” LOL
He then started the Walt Disney Company (was turned down over one hundred times for financing). Disney now does 40 BILLION in annual revenues.
Henry Ford built two car companies that failed… then created Ford.
Steve Jobs got fired by his OWN company?! Made a reasonable comeback.
H.J. Heinz of Heinz ketchup… BANKRUPT. Now does 10 BILLION in annual revenues.
Larry King declared bankruptcy in 1968 and then landed his own late-night show on CNN that you may have heard of.
Cindy Lauper was bankrupt in 1980 and then sang “Girls Just Want To Have Fun.”
Dan Kennedy went bankrupt.
Colonel Sanders was 60 when he started KFC.
Ray Kroc was 52 when he opened his first McDonalds. His real success came in his 60’s.
Jack Canfield and Mark Victor Hansen of ‘Chicken Soup for The Soul’ were denied by every major publisher.
J.K. Rowling was a divorced, unemployed, single Mom on welfare when she wrote Harry Potter. Hundreds of millions of copies later plus over a BILLION dollars in sales from the movies.
Rodney Dangerfield had failure after failure until his hit appearance on “The Ed Sullivan Show” when he was 46 years old.
Rowland Hussey had 4 retail failures in a row. Then came the store you know as Macy’s…
Zuckerberg and Bezos have more failed projects behind them than possibly any other duo in the history of business.
What about you?
So, how would you like your name on this list as a legend in the business coaching world?
You only need to be right, ONCE.
And despite your recent birthday it most certainly is not too late according to Ray Kroc, Colonel Sanders and Walt Disney.
What do you refuse to give up on? Reality is you’ve probably never thought of it this way… so you’ve got no idea.
That’s OK. This could be the most powerful question you’ve undertaken this decade.
I recently spoke to one of my successful coaches that’s been with me for years (I’ve had profit sharing agreements with successful business coaches for over ten years and still going strong).
I’ve helped this particular coach build a team of over 32 business coaches under him using my online lead generation tools and internet coaching system.
His plan is to sell his practice for 7 figures. There’s zero question in my mind that he’ll do it. Because he’s a rock star and he’s agreed with me to refuse to ever give up.
Examples from my own day to day activities…
I believe the business coaching industry is a mess. In fact, it is.
- No standards.
- No leader.
- No legit qualifications required.
- No real place to get qualifications even if you wanted to.
Business coaches get started every day and have zero clue how to legitimately help the business owners that pay them to coach. The business owner stops paying and it’s not the business coaches fault… it’s the business owners fault cause:
“They quit after 3 months because they didn’t want to do anything and just want me to do it all for them.” If this is you then you need a breakthrough and they say the magic of a breakthrough is in the question. This question will likely help you find what you’ll refuse to give up on.
Software
Bill Gates is famous for asking himself this question:
“How can I create the intelligence [operating system] that will control all desktop computers?”
That’s a slightly better question than
“How do I make a million dollars selling software?” or “How do I build the worlds best software”… which is the baseline question most people are asking in some form or another.
The question I ask myself multiple times every day and will continue to ask myself over the next decade(s) as it evolves, is:
“How do I create the standard for the entire business coaching profession?”
I was at a seminar with the “Rich Dad” of the rich dad poor dad books and I told him this was my question. He replied, “Wow! That’s a big question!” I took that as a huge compliment.
I’ll pull it off for one reasons and one reason only… Because I refuse to give up.
I know exactly how to do it and what needs to happen/be created… the roadmap is in motion. You’re eyeballs are on a piece of the puzzle now. The money is well and truly secondary at this stage… it’s just the report card.
I care about the industry. I care about the impact. And I care most about the small business owners that buy from a business coach and the magic/impact they perform together.
Every time that message of impact gets posted on social media it inspires another small business owner to get with the program and hire a proper business coach.
Coach
Every high performing athlete has a coach (likely 5 of them) and therefore its insane to think a business owner expects to go to war (yes, business is war) and win without some outside accountability and direction.
Sears were famous for not bringing in outside help and doing everything internally. Ummm……. Nice move fellas.
Remember my big brother committed suicide over a business failing when I was 16 years old. UGGG. I do this all from a visceral level.
I’ve had some monster headaches but also made enormous strides to elevate the business coaching industry over the past 12 months behind the scenes and plenty more on the way.
Amongst plenty of other projects the new 2.0 version of my new Profit Acceleration Software will be live shortly. My software will do the work uncover any business $100,000 in 45 minutes without them spending an extra dollar on marketing or advertising.
Subsequently creates a bullet-proof roadmap for you, the business coach, to follow and provide a roadmap for the business owner to ensure they profit wildly from the coaching… and that the business coach gets paid.
BTW it’s 9 months late. Driving me crazy. It was created from scratch from “an idea” and everything that could go wrong has gone wrong.
Including getting ripped off by some unscrupulous clowns that talked a good game and then deliver like kindergarten kids and blame everything but themselves when things aren’t working and they mis deadline after deadline.
Had to light the money on fire (not to mention the time, focus and effort) and start again.
Here are some screen shots of the backend of my NEW software.
A mere mortal would have given up LOL.
Keep in mind I have a version of my software that works fine and gets daily compliments on its power and precision. I committed to a better powered up version of my software… and simply refused to give up. Who cares about me?
What about you?!
What do you REFUSE TO GIVE UP ON?
Maybe start with a question. If you don’t have one, create one.
Don’t make your question ‘big’ just because mine is (“How do I create the standard for the entire business coaching profession?”).
Make it your question! If you make the question centric on other people’s success… it’ll get you a heck of a lot further. As in “How do I make $10,000 per month and $120,000 per year with my coaching?” is a (common) insanely lame question.
Something like this will get you a lot further faster… “How can I find any small business owner $100,000 in 45 minutes without them spending an extra dollar on marketing or advertising?”
And, then have a system to deploy over the first 90 days to ensure your small business client makes money and subsequently pays you! Handsomely.
Or
“I will fill 10 local live events over the next 20 weeks and positively change the lives of a minimum of 100 local business owners that attend them.”You can accomplish anything you refuse to give up on.
The secret is to seek out the best mentors possible. Follow the proven roadmap they’ve already created. Refuse to give up. By following the right mentor you’ll turn decades into days. Dollars into hundreds. Hundreds into thousands. Thousands into hundreds of thousands. Hundreds of thousands into millions.
Same will happen for your coaching clients once you’ve learned my tricks of the trade and they follow you.
If you’d like to know how I find any small business owner $100,000 in 45 minutes without them spending an extra dollar on marketing or advertising … leave a comment and maybe I can help.
Once you have the talent and ability to find someone $100,000 in 45 minutes… you become dangerous. If you deliver that with “mojo” how can they not want to hear more?
If they want to hear more don’t you think you’ll convert a few (most!!) and get a predictable flow of coaching clients? No longer have to ride the roller coaster of coaching.
Leave a comment if you want to hear more about my new software or how to predictably get high end coaching clients.
It’s late and been a long day. I’m not even going to re-read this or I’ll be here for another hour and I’m dead tired. I hope my wife is awake.
Obsessed with your business coaching success,
Karl
