One Thing: Day 43: Aaron Rodgers and Monday Night Football

Day 43: Aaron Rodgers and Monday Night Football

Last night I watched an epic game of football. Aaron Rodgers, you are a total legend and I love everything about the way you play football.

I was actually cheering for the Lions (Detroit needs something good to happen) but you have got to respect Aaron Rodgers if you’re a football fan.

The boy is pure grit.

The game got me thinking of a tactic I use and its today’s ONE THING.

Organize your day, and your client’s day like a football game.

I’ll warn you that I’m a Miami Dolphins fan and they’re the worst team in the NFL by a considerable margin.

Anyhoo…

A day is a game.

A week is a playoff series.

Each quarter (three months) a season.

Before the day starts the three most important things to accomplish that day need to be established.

Think 80 / 20 when establishing these three priorities. Also consider using sales targets.

Your day is comprised of four quarters.

If your client works 10 hours then set a timer (Apple watch or clock on their desk) to go off each 2.5 hours for the end of the quarter.

An 8 hour day would be each 2 hours and so on.

At the end of the day (game) whether it was a win or a loss, needs to be documented.

At the end of the week (assuming 5 days) they need to win 3 days to win the series and ideally sweep.

At the end of the quarter (3 months) you have your record. Start again with a new season and new record.

Use your imagination to get super creative here with yourself, your clients and staff.

Make the days harder to win as you go.
