Day 530: Reason Behind Suicide

I hope you enjoyed your New Year Celebrations.

My wife and I were sober as posts and in bed by 9pm… I know, LAME.

Closing off the year last week we covered a lot of ground…. By far the most feedback came from the Law of Triviality (reason most coach/client relationships are doomed from the start) and my one sentence of ‘You don’t get coaching client’s… coaching client’s get you.’

Kinda like saying, ‘May you never feel as unwanted as the iPhone 8.’

Speaking of being unwanted…

I drove around my neighborhood last night playing ‘Silent Night’ on my car horn…

Gotta say a distinct lack of Christmas spirit around here post Christmas.

In other news…

You’ll never do big things playing small.

Your ONE COACHING THING Today Is:

‘Your New Year Standard’

Guys will literally DIE to stay true to their ‘identity’.

If you’ve ever known a male that took his own life and wondered, “Why in the world would that guy, with so much going for him, commit suicide… I seriously don’t get it!”

One word will sum it up for you, ‘IDENTITY’.

More specifically: Their Identity.

It’s different for women.

My big bro committed suicide when I was 16 years old, so unfortunately, I’ve studied this topic exhaustively for my own self-preservation, and know this all too well.

A topic maybe for another day.

Back to you and your high end coaching clients… rather than create a series of resolutions this year (I gave you the proper roadmap last week)…

… It’ll be FAR more effective for you to set a new standard for yourself.

A new IDENTITY.

Here’s what I’ve been saying to myself over the holidays and a standard I plan to absolutely live up to… maybe it’ll give you a one sentence example of what your new identity might look like in 2022.

“My team and I are going to complete an impossible amount of shit for the coaching industry in an impossible amount of time.”

When I say “shit” I really mean “software”.

Or maybe Elon Musk said it far better:

“Stop being patient and start asking yourself, how do I accomplish my 10 year plan in 6 months? You will probably fail but you will be lot further ahead of the person who simply accepted it was going to take 10 years.”

Raise your standard…

… build your IDENTITY.
