My best buddy Russ and I went to play hockey on the weekend.

They sat us on the plane according to our positions…

Russ almost froze to death when they put him on the left wing.

Last week someone got triggered by something I said and came at me viciously.

Really angry.

I’m used to dealing with haters at this point and I knew there was more to it.

Rather than come back at him… I leaned in to understand where the anger stemmed from and why he was really so mad.

Sure as heck…

… he was in a DARK DARK place and the virus had done a number on his relationship, his business and himself.

Triple whammy.

We’ve been back and forth all week and I shared my own battles and dance with anxiety.

 He wasn’t a hater…

… was a guy looking for someone to help.

I gave it to him.

Truthfully, it’s been incredibly rewarding and I’ve probably learned more from him than he has from me.

I find myself grateful that I listened and didn’t just cast him aside as another troll.

We’ll probably be friends.

Here it is in a single sentence for you:

“Anger is usually a cry for help.”

You heard it here first.

A consultant in your network might need to read this today…

Now, pick up the phone and go help someone.
