Yesterday I was explaining exactly what your ideal coaching client looks like as well as how my single drunk Aunt told her Tinder date, ‘when we meet offline and you look nothing like your pictures… you’re buying me drinks until you do.’
Speaking of my Drunk Aunts dating life….
The relationship progressed into night two, and here’s their text exchange.
My Drunk Aunt: I love you
Her Tinder Date: I need space.
My Drunk Aunt: I love you.

If you’ve ever received that insanely annoying follow up text that says:
Or if you’ve seen the meme where a husband and wife are lying in bed and the wife is thinking:
“He’s probably thinking of another woman, bastard!”
And the guy is actually thinking:
“If you clean a vacuum cleaner… does that mean you are, in fact, a vacuum cleaner?”
Or a neighbor doesn’t like a family pic on FB… result is that you just cant stop thinking about it.
‘Fundamental Attribution Error’ is the reason for the ‘ole “hullo” annoying text message.
This mental model will help you and your high-end coaching clients sell a lot more… while dramatically improving your mental health.
In a nutshell cognitive bias assumes your prospects actions depend on what they’re thinking / doing VERSUS the environment forces the person is currently dealing with.
Plain English version:
You assume your prospect is ignoring you or “ghosting you” when, in actuality, they’re:
2. Genuinely Thinking About It
3. Overwhelmed and Mentally Paralyzed
4. Having Family Issues
5. Having Health Issues
6. Genuinely Interested but Struggling / Forgot
7. One Million Other Reasons You Could List Here
Assume they’re busy rather evil.
Assume they’ve got some family issues at home rather than ghosting you.
Rather than send a series of emails that say:
Did you not get my last email?
Why aren’t you responding?
I spent a lot of time on that roadmap I sent you!
Forget it! I am no longer interested and giving your phone number to every telemarketing service available.
Respond to them with the assumption they’re busy rather than The Devil.
Your mental health will improve dramatically.
So will your number of sales.
