Day 1242: Client. Scoreboard. Sport.

Your one PROFIT ACCELERATION THING today is:

‘7 Attributes of a Balanced Client Scoreboard’

When you play any sport, the foundation is a scoreboard.

Here is a list of the 7 things I have been ensuring we have to make it a balanced scoreboard:

1. You don’t want to have more than 5 – 7 measurements

2. Your measurements must be clear and lead to a specific RESULT.

Example: Internet Marketers measure ‘opt-ins’ and ‘leads’….

But they often miss SALES, REVENUES and PROFITS. It’s common to get an increase in ‘leads’ (quick fix) and a reduction in sales, revenue and cash collected (cause the new leads stink).

3. Time-based goals and expectations

4. Stop any measurements that no longer apply (see rule #2)

5. Make clear links between measurement and financial results (see Rule #3)

6. Be patient

7. Test, measure and improve your scoreboard monthly

Bottom line…

Your scoreboard must link the roadmap with ACTION and then with desired results.

Make sure your client’s resources (people, processes and money) are allocated where they lead to:

‘Profit Acceleration.’
