Day 1249: Undercover. Billionaire. New. Clients.

Yesterday, I was explaining how you’re not anxious, you’re just gunning for your next business level, as well as how My Drunk Aunt and her friends made some worldly assumptions based on the fact that Pepsi and Coke can’t even be in the same restaurant together.
Speaking of World Peace being unrealistic…
We all came home early from the pub, but Dave decided to stick around. Here’s our conversation this morning:
Me: Hey buddy, how did the night end up?
Dangerous Dave: Oh, I had a great long walk on the beach last night with my girlfriend… well, until the LSD wore off, and I realized I was dragging a stolen mannequin around the Wendy’s parking lot.

‘The Undercover Billionaire’
A brilliant show created by billionaire mortgage tycoon Grant Stearns…
They chose a popular guy from the real estate world… I was interested in how he’d do, but also, what he’d do.
I used to have a promotion where I said ‘Drop me in any city in North America on Monday with a cell phone and by Friday I will have performed a full local live event and have 3 paying high-end coaching clients’, so I was interested in how this would go.
The foundation of The Undercover Billionaire is that a billionaire makes a 1 million dollar bet that they can build a 7-figure business within 90 days, in a city they’ve never been to, with no contacts, operating under an alias, so they couldn’t use their previous reputation, with $100 and a pickup truck.
While watching, I saw a billionaire exercising two, time-tested, business principles that do not require money:
1) Communication
2) People
To start, he walks into an RV shop and convinces the guy to let him live in one of the RVs in exchange for acting as free security.
Clever.
The same guy buys him dinner for a few nights at a local restaurant PLUS let’s him drive his Jeep?!
Through clever but simple questioning… he gets the name of a heavy-hitting business guy in town that he wants to meet.
A meeting doesn’t happen instantly…
… rather than give up (cough, cough) he diligently follows up and with not much more than a sprinkle of conviction and intestinal fortitude…
… gets his meeting with his new heavyweight contact.
Through more clever questioning… he identities a problem and then offers to put together a proposal to solve it for his new business friend.
The guy takes him up on the offer and the Undercover Billionaire follows through and puts $12,000 through the turnstiles for the guy’s business.
BTW this involves dancing around the streets, waving down cars on a highway and giving out flyers, one to one, to passers-by.
With the success of this campaign…
… he turns that into a revenue deal and a $10,000 upfront cheque.
All of this was done without spending a single dollar of the $100, he started with.
Many more twists and turns over the 90 days.
How did it end?
He didn’t build a $1 million dollar business in 90 days….
… he built a $5.5 million dollar business in 90 days!
Here are some questions I’d challenge you with:
Do you and your high-end coaching clients have a list of needle-moving people you want to meet with?
When you try for this meeting… is there a WHATEVER IT TAKES ATTITUDE of getting in that door or a try once or twice and then give up approach?
Would you work for free for a prospective coaching client and put $12k in their bank account by dancing in the streets?
If you did… how many clients do you think you’d have?
How much would you LEARN?
Are you a lone wolf in your business operating by yourself?
*The first thing the billionaire did is get around ppl that could help him… then used communication to sway them in his favor.
Some pretty basic but insanely powerful business lessons from a billionaire that built a $5.5 million dollar business in 90 days.
Don’t do your best… do what it takes.
