Day 479: Anthony Hopkins Advice

Last week I finished up telling you it was my birthday and thanks to my wonderful wife the local bar shut down for the night to accommodate us and I had an absolutely ripper time.

Speaking of my birthday on Friday…

I threw out my back sleeping and tweaked my neck sneezing.

I’m one fart away from ending up in a wheelchair.

 In other news…

Anxiety is like a rocking chair… it’ll give you something to do but it won’t get you anywhere.

Anyhoo…

‘Anthony Hopkins Advice’

A lot of famous people give out advice you’d be better off not listening to…

Anthony Hopkins isn’t one of them.

Here’s some advice I read that felt timely on my birthday:

“Let go of the people who are not prepared to love you.

Stop showing up for people who have no real interest in your presence.

The more time you spend trying to make yourself loved by someone who is unable to, the more time you waste depriving yourself of the connection to someone wholly accepting of you.

The most valuable thing you have in your life is your time and energy.

Where you give your time and energy defines your existence.

Decide that you deserve true friendship, commitment, true and complete love with healthy and prosperous people.

Then wait and see how much everything begins to change.

This change will give you the love, the self-esteem, happiness and the protection you deserve.

Not everyone will be ready to follow you to this place.”
