Speaking of coming up short of achieving my best self…

I remember falling off my bike on a gravel road, knocking myself out cold, waking up ten minutes later with blood running down my knees, no skin on my elbows, and had to walk my bike with a bent rim and flat tire home.

Nobody really noticed or cared, including me, and I didn’t miss a beat.

Last week I used the wrong pillow and have been limping, unable to raise my arm, having hot flashes, breast soreness, and night sweats ever since.
