Day 568: Billionaire Collection: Part 1

 

Yesterday I was explaining how to get ready for the most important question of your life.

Well… not really but just trying to be dramatic.

Speaking of being dramatic…

Here’s a conversation I had with the intention of confusing my drunk Aunt:

Me: Hey, you know how its National Women’s Day… tomorrow is National ‘Stay at

Home and Drink Tequila with Your Dog Day.’

Drunk Aunt: Really?

Me: Well, it’s nothing official, I just made it up.

Drunk Aunt: Wow, that’s amazing.

Me: Tell the others.

Drunk Aunt: *starts dialing*

In other news…

After she fell for it, I felt like a shot of Vodka but then I remembered that Vodka is for

rich women looking to lose weight.

Anyhoo…

‘Billionaire Advice’

Someone died last weekend and it made me look at some of my old notes to see if

I’m being true to who I am and what I set out to do.

Amongst the notes were some advice from billionaires I’d collected and some of my

own thoughts.

Some you’ve seen before, some will be new, but ALL are insanely valuable (in my

humble opinion):

The best customer service is no need for customer service.  Your customer shouldn’t

need to call or message you.

It’s not an experiment if you know it’s going to work.

Great companies are built on great products.

Risk comes from not knowing what you’re doing.

People are exactly as honest as they can afford to be.

Do not save what is left after spending… spend what is left after saving.

If you show me the incentives… I’ll show you the outcomes.

Your personal brand is what other people say about you when you’re not in the room.

View challenges as opportunities.

Consistency can turn ordinary people into extraordinary.

If things aren’t failing… you aren’t innovating enough.

Meditate.

If you want to be uber successful… you’ll need to be obsessed.

The most successful speech of all time started with “I had a dream”… it didn’t start

with “I have a step by step plan.” How do you start your meetings / talks / calls / appts?

If the goal is a billion dollars… paranoia is a worthy pursuit.

Confidence has no competition.

You heard it here first.

A consultant in your network might need to read this today…

… forward it to them.

Now, pick up the phone and go help someone.
