This is about something I recommended to you a few months back.
I had a nine-hour flight on my way home from Italy.
I could see others watching different movies with their headphones, playing games, solitaire etc…
… while lying down, I positioned myself perfectly so that I could see only my reflection on my TV and put my headphones on to drown out as much outside noise as possible.
I spent a solid 4 of the 9 hour flight staring at myself in my blank TV in silence.
Really looking at myself is one of the hardest things I’ve ever done.
It’ll be the same for you.
Looking face to face and being honest with yourself about where you are… who you are… what you are.
You’ll meet with good and bad.
You’ll smile, and you’ll cringe.
You’ll see positive, and you’ll see negative.
Distraction is where you lose yourself.
Silence is where you discover yourself.
When done properly with intention…
… no drug you could ever take could provide you a better high.
When’s the last time you sat in total silence staring at yourself in the mirror for an extended period of time?
30 minutes to an hour will be more than sufficient for you to go really deep with yourself.
Try it.
