Yesterday I was explaining what I learned by playing for Team Canada five times and throwing my Silver medal in the garbage as well as what Wifey did when she wasn’t getting any results from the six-month-old local gym membership she was paying for.
Speaking of going down in person to see what’s really going on…
Dave and his girlfriend signed up for a weekend course on being ‘better conversationalists’ with one another. Here’s how it started:
Facilitator: OK part one is that you ask your loved one a question that gives them the opportunity to talk about themselves.
Everyone will take a turn, Dave you go first.
Dangerous Dave: *turns towards girlfriend* What the hell is wrong with you?
*silence*
In other news…
‘I am who I am’ and ‘it is what it is’ are not signs of a strong identity, they’re more likely a sign of a closed mind.

During my phoneless beach walk this AM… here are a few of my random thoughts.
1) Be hyper intentional with your day.
2) Actively control your focus or someone will actively control your focus.
3) Controlling your focus is 100X as difficult as it sounds… they’re all coming for you and your attention.
4) Your focus / attention / eyeballs / ears are insanely profitable for others.
5) You must know your enemy to defeat them.
6) Stop telling people more than they need to know.
7) Your presence is a gift.
Bonus thought: Love equals time to those who care about you.’
