TRANSFORM YOUR COACHING BUSINESS WITH MY PROFIT ACCELERATION SOFTWARE.

The Founders of Uber And Business Coaching Part 2

Yesterday I posted on the blog re Uber and how they built a 50 billion dollar company on the back of two questions.

  1. Where are you?
  2. Where do you want to go?

I listed a roadmap of 3 important areas to work on… and I’ve added a few more for no other reason than the company Uber and these two questions shifted everything for me.

The next one and the number four area is…

4. Measure your progress

Use effective guides and scorecards to measure your forward progress on a regular basis. This act alone will improve the speed at which you achieve your goals. Think of the Olympics and how world records continue and will continue every four years, to be broken. If they did not measure them… trust me… they would no longer be improved because you can’t hit a target you cannot see.

By being clear and specific (I find any small business owner $100,000 in 45 minutes without them having to spend an extra dollar on marketing or advertising. Imagine what that does for my reticular activating system… I see opportunities for business owners to make money everywhere) you will operate more successfully because:

a. It will be clear what you are trying to accomplish.

b. You will be able to tell when you have completed the task at hand.

c. You will be able to celebrate your accomplishments.

d. Your subconscious mind (insanely powerful when used correctly) will be able to perform on steroids and ensure you are moving to your desired result.

5. Become an expert and aim for the top 10% of all business coaches globally

The top 10% in any industry make 90% of the money (look at professional sports as an example. The first string players make 100 X what the role players take home).  You should, therefore, set a goal to become one of the top 10% in your field. A sure-fire plan, slow and steady, is to commit to one hour a day on education. Do this for three years and someone will refer to you as a genius and you will well and truly be remunerated accordingly. It does, however, take some time, patience and persistence.

I recommend you:

a. Commit to excellence and pay the price to get there (there will be a price).

b. Commit to one hour per day of learning time.

c. Turn driving time into learning time.

d. Attend seminars and workshops.  As you become more successful upgrade the level of education.

e. Identify the key skills for getting results work on weaknesses (time management?) to ensure it is not holding you back.

f. Build on your own talents on a monthly, weekly, daily, hourly basis. The same level of talent will get you the same results you have now.

g. Do not let negative thoughts (I am not smart, experienced, old, good-looking enough) creep in.

6. You are the six people you are closest to!

The people you spend the most time with have a direct bearing on your personal level of success. Therefore, choose your friends wisely and mentors wisely.  If you want to hang out with me in the business coaching world…. leave a comment.

Build solid business relationships with other successful business owners. All great accomplishments in life involve other people in some capacity, with this in mind as the CEO of your own personal services company:

a. Make a conscious effort to network more widely through volunteering, making contact, participating and even sending letters to the people you would like to associate with on some level.

b. Being genuine and treating people with respect and courtesy.  Always respect your clients/audience. Sounds painfully obvious… my opinion is that it’s rare.  Want an example go to a public speaking event where they do “pitch fests”… Heaven help me.  When I speak my goal is always to provide value to the audience first and foremost. If they buy…  great. Secondary, big time.

c. Being reliable. Successful business people have a natural tendency to be around punctual people and those with the intestinal fortitude to follow through.

7. Review Your Goals Daily!

Take five minutes of your day, every day, to revisit and revise your goals. This simple act will keep you on track and working towards what really is important to you. More importantly by reviewing your goals every day you tap into the power of your subconscious mind. You also generate positive emotions which will lift your own performance substantially, thereby increasing the speed at which you attain your goals.

In fact, to really supercharge your life, steal my recipe for success and write your three most important goals (for the day) on your bathroom mirror every morning (pisses my wife off LOL) and the night before you go to bed with a whiteboard marker.

Try it for 21 days and watch what happens!

Some of the things to consider when reviewing your goals on a daily basis as the CEO of your personal services company”

a. Write them as if they already happened (I earn $150,000.00 as an example).

b. Tap into the power of the subconscious mind (remarkably powerful – worth doing some research on this topic. Leave a comment for me for a couple powerful books I recommend highly).

c. Be punctual in all you do (do as I say, not as I do :o)

d. Aim to do one push up rather than 50… aim to get in the pool rather than 20 laps… write the first line (like I did to start this) rather than aim to complete your newsletter etc…

e. Be clear on what you plan to achieve but flexible in terms of how you get there.

f. Celebrate your successes. It always amazes me how people celebrate other peoples accomplishments like the local professional team winning a championship like we are on beer steroids and run over the top of our own accomplishments like they didn’t even happen.

The measure of one’s persistence is a measure of one’s self-esteem. Be persistent until you succeed is essential and simply resign yourself to the fact there is no contingency plan.

Recognize your fears and understand this is what will stop you from achieving all you desire… simply work out exactly what you want… and then resign yourself to pay the price to achieve that target.

And remember… Uber built a 50 Billion dollar company with 30 somethings at the helm…. with two questions.

  1. Where are you?
  2. Where do you want to go?

What are the answers for you?

*Will be 20 times harder than you think to complete the exercise.

Thanks for tuning in,

Karl
