There is a popular saying in marketing that states ‘It’s not what you know – but who you know.’ That’s wrong!

Marketing is all about ‘Who Knows You!’


I can find any small business owner $100,000 in less than 45 minutes (I say $10k and when I show up I find them over $100k… subsequently signing them up becomes like taking candy from a baby) without them having to spend a cent on marketing or advertising. I’ve obviously created profitable marketing strategies, in a step by step format, for an incredibly diverse range of businesses, products, services, and industries.

I have “turnkey marketing systems” created in 125 different categories of business. Makes it a lot easier as a business coach to service (not to mention close) a client when you already have their marketing developed.

It all started when I came home at the tender age of 16 to the news my big brother. A world-class skier and my hero had committed suicide over a business failing. This set me on a mission to ‘live for two’ and make the world a better place when I leave.

Marketing is my vehicle

Whenever we talk about effective marketing we have to also talk about KPI’s (key performance indicator’s) which are something you need to intrinsically understand to be highly successful in business or marketing.

Most business coaches foolishly play darts with their eyes closed. Hitting the bulls-eye can be difficult enough. Why make it harder than it needs to be? The first step in the marketing process is to clearly ascertain what you want to accomplish. Most business coaches ultimately fail because their marketing objectives are too broad with no basis or measurement for success.

Marketing objectives

Otherwise stated, if your only objectives are sales targets and revenues, you’re building your business on a cracked foundation that will lead to costly mistakes and the roller coaster effect of finding and then losing clients.

Hitting high revenue goals is actually quite simple if that’s all you set out to do. Marketing for you and your clients becomes more complicated when you intelligently begin combining those targets with other critical measurements such as a certain amount of profit, an impressive level of quality control for your products and services, positive and lasting client relationships and ongoing recurring income. 

I heard Anthony Robbins speaking about a client he had dealt with, “Making ten million dollars in twelve months was about the easiest thing I have ever accomplished. Believing it could happen was the challenge that took a quarter century.”

Therefore my magazine and these emails are going (striving) to provide a foundation for you to “believe” that success (multiple six-figure incomes) is owed to you and provide the framework to have it brought your way. Make no mistake, the best and surest way to riches is through running your own successful business.

My plan

My plan is to help you carefully construct an interlocking structure of goals, objectives, and values to direct your marketing efforts and also help direct your clients so they’re profitable and they keep paying you.

I’m going to follow this up with a relevant message (and frankly the secret sauce) of investing in “you” and how it relates to your plan of multiple 6 figures as a business coach.  I’m flat out today working on our new 2.0 version of our Profit Acceleration Software so I’ll need to get this to you tomorrow.
