‘A Picture’s Worth a Thousand Words’
Studies clearly show that an ad online with a picture gets better readership and conversion than one without.
Marketers mess this up all the time.
Think of a car for sale… with no pic.
Think of a restaurant for sale… with no pic.
Think of a dating profile… with no pic.
*Boring*
I know I just made you curious… I set ALL my dating profiles up with a pic of me wearing sunglasses and no shirt.
Think Tom Cruise in Risky Business… only a Dad bod and not nearly as handsome.
Whatever you do don’t use line drawings or clip art… photographs get significantly higher readership than illustrations.
Also worth noting… People buy from people and not companies.
When advertising a company online, a picture of the owner can work well so they can see the person behind the company.
An example…
If you run FB ads and you’re a business coach…you want to run your fan / business page as a person, not a business.
‘Karl Bryan’ as an example VS ‘XYZ Coaching’.
And yes, I know you want to sell the company one day…
Just trust me on this one.
The picture on the profile would be your professional headshot only. This will pull MUCH BETTER than a company logo or any other style of picture when advertising on FB.
Check your FB feed and you will see folks messing this one up royally.
Similarly, if you have a podcast.
Use a professional headshot as the picture…
